Nach Ke Dikha is an intercollegiate Bhangra & Fusion Dance Competition hosted at The College of William & Mary by the South Asian Student Association at the College.
Now in its 8th year, NKD will be hosting its teams from across the country at Kimball Theatre. In both the Bhangra and Fusion categories, the first-place winners are awarded a $1000 Grand Prize and the second-place winners will each receive $500 in prize money.
SASA
The South Asian Student Association at the College of William & Mary is a student organization aimed at spreading South Asian culture to both the W&M community and the greater Williamsburg area. We foster South Asian culture through a plethora of events, ranging from live dance showcases to group-wide sporting events.
At SASA, we promote and encourage diversity; the organization is open to all people who wish to participate in an engaging endeavor. We reach out to all members of the community, encouraging unity by celebrating our mutual passion for South Asian culture.
Event
MIXER
To kick off the NKD festivities, the committee invites all competing teams to a Team Mixer. The banquet will be held in Chesapeake ABC at Sadler Center on the William & Mary campus. All invitees are requested to dress in team gear, and a sit-down dinner will be provided. Be ready for a fun night of mingling, games, and dancing with your fellow competitors!
COMPETITION
The Nach Ke Dikha Bhangra and Fusion Dance Competition will be held on the evening of April 04, 2020 at the prestigious Kimball Theatre on the William & Mary campus. In honor of our eight year, twelve teams (6 Bhangra, 6 Fusion) will go head-to-head for the $1000 first-place grand prize and the $500 second-place prize.
AFTERPARTY
Closing out the weekend is the Official NKD After Party, which will take place at the Williamsburg Woodlands Conference Center. Be prepared to spend the night dancing to the best Bollywood and Bhangra tunes spun by DJ MG and DJ Vishnu. Come dressed to impress and ready to party!
